What happened, with dates

On 2025-12-05 Meta announced it had acquired Limitless. Pendant sales ended that day. Limitless says it will support existing Pendant customers through 2026, moved them to a free Unlimited plan, and shipped a way to export all of your data. Rewind, the Mac product the same company made, stopped capturing on 2025-12-19.

Service ended on 2025-12-05 in the EU, the UK, Brazil, China, Israel, South Korea and Turkey; users there were given until 2025-12-19 to download their information before deletion. The export is requested from the account page, text-only or with audio, and arrives as a ZIP: a LifeLog folder of JSON files, plus Audio and Meetings folders when you asked for them.

What the export holds

Each lifelog is one JSON object: a title, a start and end time, a markdown rendering, and a contents tree of headings and blockquotes. The blockquotes are the speech, each with a speaker name and a marker that says whether it was you (the wearer) or someone else.

That is the part worth keeping. The audio is yours too, but nothing in Peachy needs it: the words were already transcribed.

What Peachy does with it

Peachy carries forward the part of Limitless and Rewind that was about what people said: recorded, worked, and askable. It never records your screen, and it does no ambient capture; it records the meetings you take on your Mac, and it imports the transcripts you already have.

Choose File › Import Meetings… (⌘⇧I) and pick the LifeLog folder, or the files. Each lifelog becomes one meeting file: a title, a date, the speakers, and the transcript, with you labeled as Me. The file says where it came from (asr: imported (limitless)) and names the original, so nothing is ever mistaken for a meeting Peachy recorded. A second import of the same file is a no-op.

From there it's a meeting like any other: in Meetings, readable by your own Claude over the folder, and worked by the assistant if you ask it to catch up on the past. Importing spends no transcription credit, because there's no audio to transcribe.

• Request the export at app.limitless.ai/data-exports. Text-only is enough.
• Unzip it. The LifeLog folder holds one JSON file per lifelog.
• In Peachy, File › Import Meetings… (⌘⇧I), and pick the folder.
• Each becomes a meeting file wearing an Imported pill. Open one; the speakers are there.

What is verified, and what is not

The importer is verified against the schema Limitless publishes for its API, which the bulk export is inferred to mirror, and against the markdown its community plugin renders. It hasn't yet been run against a real export from a real Pendant, because we don't read anyone's files without being handed them. If yours doesn't import, the shape of one file (never its contents) is enough to fix it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Peachy replace the Pendant?

No. Peachy records meetings on your Mac, with a reminder to ask and a note you can paste, and it never captures ambiently. The Pendant's transcripts come with you; the wearable doesn't.

Where do the imported files live?

In your Peachy folder, beside the meetings Peachy records, as plain markdown you can open with anything. If that folder is in iCloud Drive or Dropbox, they sync like any other file.

Can my AI read them?

Your desktop AI reads the folder directly; Peachy ships an MCP server for Claude. For the AI on your phone or in a browser, keep the folder somewhere your cloud drive syncs and use its connector.

What does it cost?

Importing is free: there's no audio, so no transcription credit is spent. Having the assistant write notes for an imported meeting works like any other meeting and follows the pricing on the home page.
