What happened, with dates

Rewind and Limitless were the same company. On 2025-12-05 Meta announced it had acquired Limitless. Rewind capture stopped on 2025-12-19. Limitless says existing Pendant owners are supported through 2026 and shipped a way to export all of their data; in the EU, the UK, Brazil, China, Israel, South Korea and Turkey the service ended on 2025-12-05, with 2025-12-19 as the deadline to download before deletion.

What Peachy carries forward, and what it does not

Peachy carries forward the part of Rewind and Limitless that was about what people said: recorded, worked, and askable. It records the meetings you take on your Mac, from the calendar, with a reminder to ask and a note you can paste. It writes each one into a speaker-labeled markdown file in a folder you choose, and after the call it writes the notes and the next steps into that same file.

It never records your screen. There's no timeline of everything you looked at, and there won't be one. If that was the part of Rewind you needed, Peachy isn't the tool.

What it adds is the part Rewind never had: the file is the product. Your memory is a folder on your Mac. It opens whether or not Peachy exists, it syncs wherever your other files sync, and any AI that can read a folder can read it. Back it up the way you back up anything else.

If you also had a Pendant

The Limitless export is a ZIP of JSON lifelogs. Import them (File › Import Meetings…) and each becomes a meeting file, with you labeled as Me and the file saying where it came from. The steps are on the Limitless page.

Ask from anywhere

Your desktop AI reads the folder directly; Peachy ships an MCP server for Claude, and Answers in Peachy come from the same files, cited to the meeting and the line. For the AI on your phone or in a browser, keep your memory folder somewhere your Dropbox, iCloud, or Google Drive syncs, and use its connector.

Does Peachy replace Rewind?

It carries forward the part of Rewind that recorded conversations. It doesn't record the screen and never will.

Where does the recording go?

Into a file in your folder. Choose on-device transcription and the audio stays on your Mac. Choose cloud and it goes to Deepgram with a short-lived token, never retained by us. No Peachy cloud holds your meetings.

Can I bring my Rewind data in?

Rewind's screen and audio archive has no home in Peachy. The Limitless lifelog export does: each lifelog becomes a meeting file.

What does it cost?

On-device transcription is free forever. Cloud transcription and the assistant that writes notes are metered per meeting; the pricing on the home page is the whole of it.
